Jayden yipped playfully as Nico taunted him with a chicken strip; dangling it in front of his nose, then moving it away at the last second. Eventually, he took a bite and tossed the rest to his loyal puppy. “Fine, you can have one, okay?” He asked rhetorically, rubbing Jaydens head affectionately. “Just one.” He ate the last of his French fries and took a sip of his iced coffee. He was lucky he had found shade on such a hot day, but there was still a little room left under some stores overhang.
Finishing of his last strip, Nico swiftly stood and hooked Jayden to his leash. “Come on, let’s get you a bone or something.” He muttered, walking down the lines of stores. Normally, he trusted Jayden enough to let him off the leash, but he didn’t want him running off if something excited him, like a squirrel. Eventually, he stopped in front of a store smelling strongly of dog food, indicating its purpose and stock. He gently opened the door and was greeted by the cashier. “Hello ma’am, I was wondering if you had any bones or something for my puppy?” Waiting patiently, he quietly went over a couple commands with Jayden. When the lady returned, he paid for the bone with his debt card and passed it down to Jayden, who happily held it in his maw. “Hold on to that.” He whispered, scratching behind his ear. “Thank you, ma’am.” He said, before exiting the store. “What do you think, home?” Nico asked, heading in the direction of his car. belle, as usual, drove her car to the town in look for more chocolate. hanging out with izzy the other day, well dwindled her beautiful chocolate stash by a lot and she isn't one with the ability to live with out her chocolate. it was hot, yes, but being born and raised in california, gave a girl the ability to still look slamming no matter the heat. it was far hotter than this back home, but being in maine during the winter, screwed with a girl's body temperature. just when she was getting used to the cold, bam comes the heat. though she much preferred the heat, she was just going to have to get used to the cold, yet again.
though as she started to shut of her car and get out, she saw a boy she recognized from the chat. not that she said anything to him, but he was on there one time when she was. zofia was being a flirtatious idiot with the poor guy, and belle felt completely sorry for him. locking her door, she started to walk towards him, that was when she saw the dog and hurried even faster. "hi! i don't think you remember me! i vaguely remember you, but your dog is very adorable," she said with her usually happy chipper babble. the old belle was back to stay! already she bent down and gave the dog some ear rubbing and a kiss on it's head. "what's the pretty things name?"

As Nico headed towards his car, he noticed someones fast footsteps approaching and he turned towards the sound. Apparently, it was someone from the school, but he wasn't sure who. "Uh... He's Jayden." He said, rubbing the German Shepherd's head. "And my name's Nico." Jayden, who was obviously enjoying all the petting, rolled over onto his back and whined a bit, prompting Nico to start rubbing his belly with his bone still in his mouth.
"He was a going away present from my parents." Nico stated, standing back up and disappointing Jayden. They weren't his actual parents, but he always acted like they were. "They thought he'd keep me company." He smiled down at his faithful companion. "So, what are you in town for?" He asked as Jayden lay down and started gnawing on his new toy. belle smiled at the dog one last time, and stood back up. "hey jayden," she said looking down at the dog. "such a cutie you are." still smiling she stuck out her hand, "well it's nice to meet you nico. i'm belle." she hadn't yet did what the school told her to do, start going by anna again. she didn't want to be the chearleading obsessed, rich snobby kid again. belle was who she was, and if her parents didn't like it, she wasn't going to care.
"well that's a good thing. cause he's just so darn cute." laughing, she turned back to him. "just going on another chocolate run. all mine got eaten the other day." she shrugged like it was no big deal, even though it was a huge deal to this girl. she worships her chocolate, almost more than she worships her god. "what brought you here?"

Nico smiled at Belle. “Nice to meet you too.” He replied, running his fingers through his hair. “Not only that, but sometimes I swear he can understand English. He already knows so many commands and they’re so easy to teach him. Watch.” He knelt down by Jayden, let go of his leash, and said “Bring me the nearest stick.” Without hesitation, Jayden jumped up, ran about thirty feet, picked up a stick longer than he was, and dragged it back to Nico and Belle. “Good boy!” Nico praised, vigorously rubbing Jayden’s head. “Now go put it back where it was.” Jayden dragged the stick away and left it almost exactly where he found it. “You are such a smart puppy!” He pulled a treat out of his pocket and fed it to Jayden, who happily wriggled on the ground.
Nico picked up the leash and stood back up. “See what I mean? It’s actually kinda creepy sometimes.” Jayden whined a bit and Nico rubbed his head again. “Uhh, creepy in a good way?” Jayden went back to chewing his bone. “A chocolate run? Do you mind if I join you? I was just going to go back to the school and wander around, but hanging out here a bit longer sounds better.” Nico asked. Belle quirked her brow when Nico mentioned that Jayden could understand English. That was weird and she never heard of such a thing. She was just about to tell him that, when he told the dog to go do something. Whoa! That was way cool. Jayden did exactly what he was told, and it was like a long order. That was way cool. "Jayden. You are one amazing dog." She smiled at Nico, "I understand completely."
It was really surprising that Jayden could do something like that, and she wanted to tell everyone about it. Heck, she wanted a puppy like that. But then Nico interrupted her thoughts and she looked at him and nodded. "I'd love for you to join me. I'll even get you something if you want. Beats being alone." She smiled her bright happy smile, tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear and headed off.

Nico smiled proudly as Belle praised his dog. Jayden yipped happily and ran around in tight little circles, overjoyed to be the center of attention. “Jeez, you are hyper, aren’t you boy?” Kneeling down, Nico picked up Jayden and draped him over the back of his neck, Jaydens back two legs dangling down his right shoulder and the other two down Nico’s left shoulder. Jayden started nibbling on Nico’s ear, trying to get him to put him back down.
“Thank you for letting me tag along.” Nico said, putting Jayden back down on the ground. “Grab your bone.” He said before walking after Belle, following her footsteps. Jayden trotted beside him, bone firmly grasped in his jaw. “And that’s ok, you don’t need to buy me anything, but thanks anyways.” He said, trying to keep up. Eventually they stopped at a store that smelled of cocoa beans. He opened the door for Belle and followed her with Jayden. “Hey, you can’t bring that dog in here!” The cashier exclaimed, crossing his arms and standing in front of Jayden, who was growling around his bone. Nico stepped forwards and whispered something in the cashiers ear. The cashier nodded and went back to the desk, still looking quite cross. “Ok, let’s look around.” Nico said, turning to Belle and smiling calmly. Belle laughed at the dog when he ran in circles and couldn't believe how cute Jayden was. She backed away slightly as Nico picked up the dog, she didn't know if Jayden would kick his legs. and if he did, well being kicked in the face by a dog didn't seem like a good idea. "He is one hyper dog," she said with a bright smile.
"No problem," she said with a smile. "Shopping can be boring if you don't have company." Watching Jayden grab his bone, she kept walking before looking up at Nico. "So what's up with you?" She frowned, "I have plenty money to buy you something. It's not a problem for me at all. When they made it to the store, Belle's eyes widened and she got almost bouncy. Chocolate was her thing, just something she couldn't help but indulge in. Walking in she looked up and felt a glare settle, how could this guy say no to such a cute dog like Jayden, but not long after, the cashier didn't say anything and the three of them continued.
"Hmm..I want some more dark chocolate this time," she said, maybe more to herself than to Nico.

Nico and Jayden slowly walked up and down along the shelves, inhaling the sweet smell of chocolate and fudge. Eventually, he stopped and picked up a thin bar and discretely brought it close to his nose, trying to determine what kind of chocolate bar it was. ‘Hmmm… Almonds… Nope.’ He put it back down where it came from and turned to face Belle as she mumbled about how she might get more dark chocolate. “Eh, dark chocolate tastes kinda ‘funky’ to me.” He stated, picking up another chocolate bar. ‘Mmmm… Cookies and cream. This smells iiccceee.’
Nico spent a couple more seconds wallowing in the delicious sent before walking back over to the counter. “This please.” He said, putting the cookies and cream chocolate bar on the counter and digging out his debt card. After he had paid for his treat, he picked up the small bag that the bar was in, said “Thank you.” To the cashier, who was still glaring at him, and walked over to Belle. “I’m good.” He stated,, leaning against a wall as he waited for her to buy her chocolate. belle couldn't help but smile at nico's reaction to her mentioning of dark chocolate. many people had that same exact reaction, and well she didn't care. it was an inquired taste, and well belle enjoyed any chocolate. she was a chocoholic to an extent and she was proud to be so.
which was why she split up with nico to find some. she grabbed as much of the deliciousness as she could. some dark chocolate, milk chocolate, some with almonds. when she was done, she had about ten bars of candy, when she finally went to the cashiers. she gave nico a frown, "i said i'll buy it for you. i have money galore."
pulling out her parent's debt card, she handed it to the cashier with a small smile. she turned her head down as the guy gave her a strange look. the last time she was here, well it was a sweet old lady who was really nice. but this guy, well he seemed different. "yes i'm going to the crazy school and yes i'm buying ten bars of chocolate," she said sternly, not in the mood to deal with this kind of prejudice right now. "and i can't help that i was kidnapped as a kid and have problems." she turned and stalked off, not even knowing why those words came out of her mouth. the moment she was out the door, she leaned against the wall. maybe that would keep people from being rude to the kids of hawthorne. not all of them were crazy, she could be the nicest person you ever met, and nico didn't seem at all bad. "i'm sorry for that," she mumbled when he came out of the doors.

Nico didn’t need his eyes to work to know that Belle was glaring at him. “I don’t need you to buy it for me.” He stated, pulling the chocolate bar out of his pocket and nibbling on it. Frankly, it was very delicious and Nico was considering buying a second, when Belle stalked off towards the counter to buy her chocolate and going buy the excessive rustling in her hands, she was buying quite a bit of candy.
Suddenly, she started shouting at the cashier, which slightly scared both Nico and Jayden, who whimpered and hung his head. As soon as Belle stormed out of the story, Nico slowly walked up to the counter and produced his debt card again. “Sorry about that.” He mumbled, punching in his pin number and picking up the bag with her chocolate with it as well as her debt card, which she had left on the counter.
After putting his own debt card back in his pocket, Nico and Jayden casually walked outside and handed Belle her chocolate. “You forgot these.” Jayden put a paw on her knee and started tenderly licking her hand, trying to cheer her up. “Don’t worry about it.” Nico said, shrugging it off. “That guy was kinda a douche.” TAGGED: Belle WORD COUNT: 210ish NOTES: HERE

belle knew she sounded like an idiot, screaming at that man. but he looked at her funny, she hated when people did that. she was just like them, just slightly on the crazy side, but not really. though what she did probably made it seem like she was more crazy than she was. she frowned and glared at the ground. why did they always treat them all the same? she was kidnapped whens he was a teenager and forced to have sex with strangers. it was horrible how people treated them all like they were the same.
she looked at nico and gave a small smile,"thanks." taking the bag of chocolate she frowned, "i'll pay you back." she gave a shake of her head,"it was just that look. they always give it to me." she could feel the tears forming and breathed, making sure she was calm before speaking again. "i hate it, cause i didn't want to get kidnapped, and and i didn't want this for myself.
sighing she reached into her bag of candy and took a bar of chocolate before opening and eating it. she smiled happily after the bar was done, and looked to nico. "can we go somewhere? i don't want to go back to the school just yet."

Jayden licked Belle’s hand a couple more times before discovering that he had a tail, prompting a vigorous chase scene. Nico rolled his eyes as the leash went around and around in his hand. “For the last time, I don’t care about the money. And don’t say ‘I have tons of cash’ because that doesn’t matter.” Eventually, Jayden caught his tail and laid down to gnaw on it, only to find that, apparently, it hurts to try to eat your own tail. “I just bought you a new bone and yet, you insist on trying to devour yourself.” Nico sighed as Jayden yipped angrily, trying to find whatever had bitten him.
“Ok, so let’s go somewhere else.” Nico said, picking up Jayden’s bone and slipping it in his back pocket. “Should we go to the arcade, or the café, or maybe the farmer’s market down the road?” He suggested, scratching Jayden’s belly, who had seemed to get over the mysterious tail attack. “You can choose, I don’t really care.” TAGGED: Belle WORD COUNT: 180ish NOTES: That’s not a real word. belle smiled at jayden, he was really helpful when it came to cheering up the blonde and she sighed. she was acting like a complete moron when it came to this right now and she had to stop being such an idiot. nico didn't want the money and well it was a treat, though she still felt horrible for it. "but i do have tons of cash," she mumbled before watching jayden chase his tail and she cracked up.
she nodded at him because she wasn't ready to go back to the school, not yet anyway. pushing herself off the way she wondered what they would even do at a farmers market and settled on the arcade. "the arcade. cause too many judgemental people at the cafe. and i have no clue why we would go to the farmers market," she admitted with a laugh and a sigh.

Nico rolled his eyes as he heard her mumble about her money, but decided not to say anything. “The arcade it is.” He said, and Jayden barked for emphasis. “Onward!” He exclaimed as they strolled towards the arcade, which was a small building that had a lot of beeps and dings sounding out. He opened the door for Belle and followed her inside, Jayden happy to be included in this wild adventure into the unknown.
The inside of the arcade didn’t smell as nice as the candy shop, instead smelling like stale popcorn and old tokens, but judging from the lack of non-mechanical noises, he guessed that it was almost empty, save a couple attendants. Using his debt card, he got about twenty dollars worth of tokens and wandered around looking for an interesting game. He finally decided on an old one named ‘House of Dead’ which he had played many times before and had the high score in his old towns arcade. It was a shooter with a gun attachment and, although he didn’t approve of guns in real life, fake guns were perfectly ok if they were being used on the undead. Reaching around to the back of the machine, he discreetly plugged his cell phone into the machine with a special cable. He also slipped an headphone into one ear. “Two player?” He asked Belle, slipping coins into the machine. TAGGED: Belle WORD COUNT: 200ish NOTES: And boom goes the dynamite
