»PERSONALITY•
Romy might as well be an astronaut because she is spaaacey. Forgetful, clumsy, and absent minded, those would be the best words to describe Romy. She is often lost in thought and just doesn’t notice what’s going on around her. Usually when she gets pulled out of her own head she is smiling and sweet, never saying too much and being ever so polite, but she quickly gets lost in her own head again. She tries not to cry in public but if she passes say a pregnant student or teacher at school or a child she’ll burst into tears. She rarely gets angry with people because she is just so patient. Romy is very motherly and likes to protect and take care of people, but she can’t really do that for herself… Before she lost the baby though she was rather outspoken and high energy, but since she lost the baby she hasn't quite been with it.

»BITTERSWEET HISTORY•
Seventeen years ago Rosemary Ann Schmitz was born. She was the second child in the Schmitz family; an older son named Lukas came before her. Little Lukas just couldn’t seem to be able to pronounce Rosemary and came up with a short version, Romy, and to this day she strictly goes by Romy. Lacey and Jospeh had another child when Romy was two named Mathias, Matty for short. The family of five formed a completely average and loving suburban family in a small town in Ohio.
As a child Romy was the kind of kid that would play with the boys because that’s the kind of thing that happened when you grow up with two brothers and a stay at home father. They would wrestle, play in the mud, and play football with all the neighborhood kids. Lacey wasn’t quite sure what to do with her tomboy daughter seeing as all she wanted to do was put Romy in cute frilly dresses, dresses which she would fight tooth and nail to not wear. Even though Romy wasn’t the frilly little girly girl she would still bake cookies with her mommy and try not to cry as much when her room was painted pink.
As she got older though the tomboy in Romy subsided a bit, but she was by no means some nancy little girl that couldn’t defend herself. She wasn’t exactly a popular girl, she had more guy friends than girl friends, but she was happy in her small town in Ohio. Unlike most kids in her town she was completely fine with spending the rest of her life there, some kids tried hard in sports to get out while others studied their asses off. Romy on the other hand just had fun and did as she pleased because she didn’t really care if she ended up going to community college and having a job in the town because she loved it there.
When she was fourteen years old the small town changed though. The entire year before construction was going on in the outskirts of the town and nobody could figure out what they were building there, only that it was huge. It turned out to be a house for a very rich family that decided they needed to get out of the city and enjoy the life of the country. The Norwall family was a wealthy family from California who had a son named Agnus that was actually the same age as Romy and it was soon learned that the reason they moved away from California was because Agnus had fallen into the wrong crowd and had just finished his community service just weeks before they moved away to Ohio.
Agnus didn’t exactly fit into the small Ohio town, but Romy didn’t think that was a good reason to let him sit alone at lunch or have some of her guy friend poke fun at his longer hair and skinny jeans. At first Agnus tried to shrug off Romy, but soon they became best of friends, actually Romy was his only friend. By the time that Romy was fifteen they were a couple. They were the kind of couple that you would go “awhh” at if you saw them in public. Everyone just assumed that they were going to be together forever and so did Romy when on her sixteenth birthday they had sex for the first time. Of course, of course she would end up pregnant the first time she had sex and when she was sixteen years old.
In that small town in Ohio though when this happened the couple either married right away or ended up getting married after school and that was what Romy and Agnus had decided they’d do. They spent eight months preparing for the baby because with Agnus’ family they really didn’t need to save too much money with Agnus’ mom basically buying anything and everything pink for her unborn granddaughter. During the pregnancy though Romy swelled, retaining all her fluids, and her blood pressure was a bit too high for the doctors liking. It was when Romy went to the doctor to get the stress level tested on her baby that she found out that the baby had in fact died. Since she still had a fully formed baby inside her they said she’d have to deliver but Romy went into shock, which caused them to do a c-section.
Nothing was the same after little Lucy Jay died. Romy became very depressed, so depressed that they finally pulled her out of school before the end of her sophomore year. She would wake up at night screaming because of nightmares that usually involved dead babies, she also developed an eating disorder partially because it gave her control and also because she associated any kind of fat with being pregnant because of how huge she had gotten. She would also break down whenever she saw a baby or a pregnant woman and would sometimes think she heard her baby cry. As for Agnus he had started drinking too much and they ended up breaking up a few weeks after the baby died.
Her parents and brothers at first tried to help her on their own, her parents being loving as they were and her brothers being so protective. However when they found out she started cutting and she was hospitalized because of her eating disorder they knew they couldn’t handle it anymore. Now Romy is on her way to Hawthorne Academy to get better.
